Medical Marijuana Dispensary

It took an eternity, but two states have made marijuana legal|It was a long time coming but tow states have finally legalized marijuana. Now, Denver citizens can shop for the best bubble hash (or their strain of choice) in dispensaries throughout the city. This may seem new, but marijuana has a long history|The fight for marijuana just made progress. The recent legalization of marijuana in Washington and Colorado has set the stage for not only expanded medical marijuana dispensaries, but also nationwide legalization.

For all the controversy surrounding the legalization of marijuana, one thing is certain: for most of recorded history, marijuana was used primarily for medical purposes. The first known marijuana users were the ancient Chinese. Emperor Fu Hsi, considered the founder of civilization in China, said that marijuana contained both yin and yang. The Chinese consumed medicinal marijuana for hundreds of years though no one knows whether or dispensaries existed in ancient China. From there, it spread to India, where it was used as a cure for leprosy. It wasn't until about 200 B.C. that marijuana turned up in the West, first showing up in Greece.

It would take another 2000 years before European settlers brought marijuana to the Americas. Famously, George Washington planted hemp and according to records, he was particularly interested in marijuana's medicinal uses.

The reefer madness era changed the way that marijuana was viewed. Something needed to be done, or at least, that was the common opinion back then. The decades long war on drugs began. It wasn't until the following decades that states slowly allowed medicinal marijuana. Of course, dispensaries in California became ubiquitous. And then a huge moment: two states legalized marijuana. Now, not only medical dispensaries are all over Denver, but there are head shops that sell bubble hash to anyone.
